The post has ignited widespread debate on social media, with users split on whether her actions were courageous or careless.

“The sign clearly says ‘due to high risk of injury,’” one commenter noted. “Why would you still go down?”

Another commenter wrote, “It’s honestly scary how many people don’t understand why women aren’t allowed on this slide.”

The slide, located at Austria’s popular Area 47 adventure park, is off-limits to women due to the extreme water pressure, which presents specific health risks.

Studies published in the National Library of Medicine have found that high-pressure water can lead to serious internal injuries and increase the risk of infection when it enters the female body.

Iffland’s viral video sparked concern among viewers, with many questioning her choice in light of the known health risks associated with the slide.

Some commenters highlighted the danger of so-called “water slide enemas”—a term used to describe the uncomfortable and potentially harmful effects of high-speed water being forced into the body, a risk that can affect both men and women.

“Unfortunately, I got a water slide enema,” one user revealed. “I peed out half the pool from my behind. I literally couldn’t stand upright afterward. It was the weirdest thing I’ve ever experienced.”

Speaking to News.com.au, she said: “It was never my intention to undermine the safety regulations of this waterslide. Safety is always my top priority, and I carefully assess any risks involved in my profession. To suggest otherwise is simply incorrect.”

Representatives from Area 47 have also addressed the viral video, offering further explanation for the restriction.

According to a spokesperson quoted by LADbible, the slide was initially open to everyone, but a rise in reported injuries over time prompted the park to reassess its safety guidelines for female visitors.

“Our top priority is the safety and well-being of all our guests, regardless of gender,” the spokesperson said.
