A rising star with a bright future ahead, Karen first captured hearts across Brazil as a child when she appeared on The Voice Kids in 2020. Her representative shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, saying:
“Karen enchanted Brazil with her powerful voice and captivating presence from an early age. Since her time on The Voice Kids, she forged a radiant path, blending talent, charisma, and representation in everything she did.”
More than just a gifted performer, Karen became a beacon of inspiration—especially for Black girls, who saw in her a reflection of their own dreams and strength.

Four days before her passing, it was shared that 17-year-old Karen Silva was dealing with a health issue and receiving medical care, supported by her family and team.
The young singer had been hospitalized at São João Batista Hospital in Volta Redonda, Brazil.
Carlinhos Brown, coach on The Voice Kids Brazil and mentor to Silva, honored her memory in a heartfelt tribute:
“This morning, we were all shocked by the sudden loss of Karen Silva. She graced The Voice stage, was a cherished part of our team, and leaves behind unforgettable memories for all of us.”
Karen’s father, Fernando Sérgio da Silva, told local media that she had shown no signs of illness before her sudden decline.
“She left home on Friday to have lunch, and just three hours later, she was in a coma,” he said. “We had big plans for 2025—for her, her clothing brand, and new songs for her album.
To lose my daughter like this is incredibly painful. It still doesn’t feel real.”
