Animated films, especially those from Pixar, are known for incorporating humor that appeals to both children and adults. While kids enjoy the straightforward jokes, there are often subtle references hidden within the films that only adults might catch on a second viewing.
The Toy Story series, in particular, has become famous for its outtakes—silly snippets that show the toys messing up on set, often with nods to pop culture events or real-life occurrences. These outtakes typically appear after the credits and add a layer of humor for adult audiences.
However, one specific gag from the Toy Story 2 blooper reel was removed in 2019 in response to evolving cultural sensitivities. As a result, this joke was scrubbed from the newer versions of the film.

The controversial scene, which features Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), Jessie (Joan Cusack), and Bullseye, originally showed Woody going to check on Stinky Pete, the prospector doll (voiced by Kelsey Grammer), in his box.
When Woody spins the box around, he inadvertently interrupts a conversation between Stinky Pete and two Barbie dolls.
The prospector doll is caught making inappropriate advances on the dolls, asking them in a sleazy tone: “So, you two are absolutely identical?”
He adds: “I’m sure I could get you a part in Toy Story 3.”
The situation takes a creepier turn as Stinky Pete continuously flirts with the dolls, even caressing one of their hands before realizing he has an audience.
Stumbling over his words, he quickly tries to cover up the situation, saying: “Oh, I’m sorry, are we back?! Oh! Alright girls, lovely talking with you. Yes, anytime you’d like some tips on acting, I’d be glad to chat with you,” before awkwardly ushering them out of the box.

Originally intended as a tongue-in-cheek nod to Hollywood’s sleazy producer stereotype, the joke has since been reevaluated in light of the #MeToo movement, which shed light on widespread issues of sexual harassment and abuse within the entertainment industry.
Following the movement and high-profile accusations against figures like Harvey Weinstein, the gag came across as tone-deaf and inappropriate—especially in a family-oriented film.
In response, Pixar chose to remove the scene from the Blu-ray release of Toy Story 2, and Disney+ followed by excluding it from all streaming versions.
Although some early DVD editions may still contain the original blooper, it has largely been scrubbed from the film’s legacy.
