A mini horror series on the streaming platform is gaining viral attention online as users film their reactions.
Although it was added to Netflix a while ago, it’s recently garnered the attention of a wider audience.

Viewers are particularly reacting to one ‘disturbing’ scene, with some describing it as incredibly unsettling.
One person shared, “I felt physically sick watching this scene.” Another echoed, “That scene was insane! Please, someone, erase it from my head.” A third commenter said, “This is one of the grossest scenes in TV history, I never want to be reminded of it.”
Despite these intense reactions, many critics argue the miniseries is still worth watching. Caroline Framke wrote for Variety, calling it “a dark and twisted series that revels in getting truly grotesque.” She notes that the show’s scattered narrative of vengeance and ownership is made compelling by an outstanding performance at its core.
In a review for Bloody Disgusting, Daniel Kurland described the series as a “neon-soaked, nightmare-fueled exploration of identity, sexuality, and the artificial constructs that perpetuate their exploitation,” highlighting its slow, Rube Goldberg-like progression where revenge takes time and wild visuals unfold.

The horror series has garnered a 7.1/10 rating on IMDb and 76% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The official synopsis reads: “A filmmaker travels to Hollywood in the early ’90s to make her movie but finds herself spiraling into a hallucinatory world of s**, magic, revenge – and kittens.”
Created by Lenore Zion and Nick Antosca, writers of Channel Zero, the show stars Rosa Salazar, Manny Jacinto, Jeff Ward, Eric Lange, and Siena Werber.
Premiering in 2021 on Netflix, the series is adapted from Todd Grimson’s novel of the same name.

In episode four of Brand New Cherry Flavor, a disturbing scene unfolds that leaves many viewers unsettled. The protagonist, Lisa, seeks revenge with the help of a witch. However, the witch’s curse takes a terrifying turn, causing Lisa to begin vomiting newborn kittens, a grotesque and unsettling sight. Desperate to stop the torment, Lisa pleads with Boro for a solution. In response, Boro forces her to give birth to a kitten through a new, horrifying tear in her torso. After witnessing this unsettling moment, one viewer summed it up perfectly: “Brand New Cherry Flavor is f**ked up.”
