Netflix has been experiencing massive success with horror series, like The Haunting of Hill House, which quickly became a fan favorite.
Now, viewers are buzzing about another series that’s not for the faint of heart.
It’s said to combine elements of chilling classics like The Blair Witch Project, Midsommar, and Frequency.

One fan warns: “Don’t watch it at night. Stay safe, everyone.”
Another adds: “I watched it last month, and it hasn’t left my mind. This show will crawl under your skin until you can’t tell what’s real.”
A third viewer describes: “This was a spine-chilling psychological horror show.”
The series, with an impressive 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.3/10 on IMDb, is also earning praise from critics.
Meagan Navarro from Bloody Disgusting writes: “The series kicks off strong and keeps you hooked with its eerie sound design, otherworldly mysteries, unique structure, and cult conspiracies.”
Stephanie Malone of Morbidly Beautiful notes: “Visually stunning and gorgeously cinematic, the unnerving score keeps you in a constant state of uneasy suspense. With echoes of series classics like Lost and Twin Peaks, it raises fascinating questions and leaves you hungry for more answers.”

The horror series is adapted from a popular podcast of the same name, delving into rituals, stories, and unsettling sounds.
Netflix transformed the widely followed audio show into a TV series. Upon its release in 2022, it was reported to have garnered 129.47 million hours of watch time.
The show’s synopsis reads: “An archivist lands a job restoring damaged videotapes, only to be drawn into the mysterious case of a missing director and a dangerous demonic cult.”

Created by Rebecca Sonnenshine, renowned for her work on The Boys and The Vampire Diaries, the horror series features a talented cast including Mamoudou Athie, Dina Shihabi, Evan Jonigkeit, Julia Chan, Ariana Neal, Matt McGorry, and Martin Donovan.

“It’s quite different from the podcast,” she explained. “But it still aims to capture its essence and follow a similar storyline.”
