Friends is a beloved sitcom that follows the lives, relationships, and humorous escapades of six close-knit friends living in New York City.

They navigate careers, romance, and the challenges of adulthood, all while providing endless laughs and heartwarming moments.

Aniston and Schwimmer starred in the sitcom as Rachel Green and Ross Geller for 10 seasons between 1994 and 2004.

Now the actress has made an intriguing revelation that concerns her former co-star.

Aniston openly explored the dynamics of their on-screen romance during an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark.

Her on-again, off-again relationship with Schwimmer’s character fascinated audiences, sparking ongoing speculation—was their undeniable chemistry limited to the screen, or did it hint at something more?

At last, it seems, the truth has come to light.

This isn’t the first time the pair have spoken about their off-screen connection.

In the Friends: The Reunion special, David Schwimmer openly admitted to having a “major crush” on Jennifer Aniston during the show’s first season—a feeling she confirmed was mutual.

“At one point, we were both seriously crushing on each other,” Schwimmer shared. “But it was like two ships passing in the night—one of us was always in a relationship, so we never crossed that line. We respected that.”

He also revealed that they’d often cuddle during rehearsal breaks.

“We’d spoon and fall asleep on the couch,” he continued. “I kept thinking, ‘How did no one notice we were into each other?’ It was just one of those situations where nothing could happen.”

In a later interview with Howard Stern, Aniston echoed the sentiment: “David was lovely—just great. But no, on my life, we never got together. We were always in relationships, and the timing was never right. It just wouldn’t have worked.”

Now, however, it seems Aniston has finally addressed one lingering rumor…

The revelation came during an interview with Kelly Ripa, who brought up long-standing rumors: “In the early years, you [and Schwimmer] had a crush on each other.”

Aniston didn’t hesitate to confirm: “Yes, we did.”

She went on to explain how those real-life feelings were seamlessly woven into the show’s storyline. “We just let it play out on TV,” she said, referring to the beloved on-again, off-again romance between Ross and Rachel.

Co-host Ryan Seacrest, temporarily filling in for Mark Consuelos, asked the burning question: “So, was your first kiss a TV kiss?”

Aniston confirmed: “Yes.”

When Ripa asked if the experience felt strange, Aniston smiled and responded, “Well, no, it was quite enjoyable, actually.” She added, “Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop. We just channeled all of our love and adoration for each other into Ross and Rachel.”
