Georgia Ball, a rising star in the world of golf, has earned widespread admiration not just for her skills on the green.
She’s also hit headlines for her poise and wit in the face of a common but irksome experience: mansplaining.
The golfer recently became the center of an online conversation after a video surfaced of her handling a situation in which a man attempted to teach her own sport to her.

People have been showering Georgia Ball with praise for her response, flooding the comments section with admiration.
One user wrote, “I’m hiding behind a cushion from second-hand embarrassment. She handled it so politely—what a legend!”
Another added, “She was gracious, composed, and let that guy mansplain away. Would he have said anything if it were a middle-aged man with a beer belly? Highly doubtful.”
TV presenter Dan Walker also weighed in, saying, “Georgia showed incredible class and restraint. I hope the man involved apologizes and signs up for a lesson with her.”
And as one user on X (formerly Twitter) perfectly summed it up: “Georgia Ball just gave us all a masterclass. She didn’t need to prove herself, but she did—and with style. Absolute legend.”

Ball, a PGA (Professional Golfers’ Association) pro, often posts videos of her practice sessions online, sharing valuable tips and techniques for aspiring golfers.
In a recent TikTok clip, Ball is seen practicing at a driving range, deliberately pausing mid-swing as part of her training routine.
During the session, a well-meaning but misinformed man approached her with unsolicited advice.
Off-camera, he can be heard saying, “Excuse me, what you’re doing there—you shouldn’t be doing that.”
He went on to critique her technique, adding, “You should follow through on your swing. You’re too slow going up and then back.”

Ball calmly explained that she was fully aware of her technique, mentioning that she was in the process of experimenting with a new swing style.
Responding with composure, she said, “OK, I am going through a swing change at the minute.”
The man then remarked, “I’ve been playing golf for 20 years.”
Undeterred, Ball lined up for another shot and took her swing. The man quickly added, “See how much better that was?”
Ball clarified that she had deliberately slowed down her swing, only for him to respond, “Keep doing that anyway, OK?”
Reflecting on the now-viral TikTok video, which has attracted millions of views, Georgia admitted, “It was definitely a bit awkward, not going to lie. I couldn’t help but laugh—I was just lost for words!”
