Cassie has asked the judge in the upcoming trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs to dismiss a request the music mogul made for her to hand over financial records and a book she wrote about their relationship.

The 38-year-old actress and model has taken steps to persuade the court to reject a subpoena served by Combs’ team on March 19, as reported by TMZ on Thursday.

The request from Diddy’s team demands that Cassie turn over “all draft memoirs, autobiographies, narratives, diaries, journals or notes… and any communications related to plans to publish or threats to publish such a document.”

Cassie claimed that Combs, who assaulted her in a violent March 2016 incident caught on camera, also sought access to her financial records.

Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, had previously stated in a court filing that Cassie, with over 10.4 million followers on Instagram, told Diddy he could “catch and kill” her book for a $30 million payment, according to the report.

Diddy quickly reached a settlement in the sex abuse case that Cassie filed against him in November 2023.

The 55-year-old music mogul has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking following his arrest in September. He has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting his trial, scheduled for May 5, after being denied bail multiple times.

Prosecutors in Combs’ federal case accuse him of using blackmail and violence to intimidate and silence his victims.

Among the serious allegations against the entertainer is that he coerced women into participating in group sexual exhibitions, referred to as ‘Freak Offs,’ against their will.

Nearly five months after his September 16 arrest in Manhattan, Combs remains in federal custody in connection with sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Combs, who is also charged with transportation to engage in prostitution, has made a trio of attempts in vain to be granted bail, amid concerns from the court he would attempt to flee or tamper with his case.

Prior to his arrest he was in the headlines for much of 2024 year after raids on multiple properties in March; and video of him assaulting Cassie surfacing on CNN in May.
