Heard shared the joyous news of the birth of her twins in a heartfelt Instagram post on Mother’s Day in the United States. The 39-year-old actress posted a touching photo of three pairs of tiny feet, representing her newborns and their older sister, four-year-old Oonagh Paige. “Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget,” Heard wrote. “This year, I am overjoyed beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve worked so hard to build.” However, her choice of baby names sparked a flurry of reactions from fans. Some were quick to criticize, with one commenter writing, “Those poor kids,” while others called the names “dreadful,” “cruel,” and even “the worst names ever.”

The actress has been residing in Spain since 2022, seeking a more peaceful life with her daughter after her highly publicized legal battles with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.
In a 2023 interview, director Conor Allyn, who collaborated with Heard on In the Fire, shared that she had been “living her best life in Spain” and was a “dedicated mom.” Her decision to step away from the public eye came after years of intense media scrutiny surrounding her troubled relationship with Depp.
The couple’s marriage ended in 2016, and the following years were marked by mutual accusations of domestic abuse and two widely publicized defamation trials.
In 2022, a Virginia jury found Heard guilty of defaming Depp, while also awarding her damages in a countersuit.

This marks the second time the Aquaman actress has publicly shared the birth of her children. Her first child, Oonagh, was born in 2021, when Heard opened up about her decision to become a mother on her own. At the time, she expressed, “I hope we reach a point where it’s normalized to have a crib without needing a ring,” although her unique choice of name sparked some criticism from fans. In her latest post, she reflected on the challenges of motherhood, calling the experience “the most humbling of my life.” Heard also shared, “Becoming a mother independently, despite my own fertility struggles, has been something I’m eternally grateful for, as I was able to make this decision with responsibility and thoughtfulness.”

Despite facing controversies and personal challenges, Heard has found clarity in her role as a mother. “To all the moms out there, wherever you are and however you’ve arrived at this point, my dream family and I are celebrating you,” she shared. In the final lines of her post, Heard unveiled the names of her newborns: a daughter, Agnes, and a son, Ocean.
“Today, I’m excited to share that I’ve welcomed twins into the Heard family,” she wrote. “My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping both my hands and my heart full.”
