Adult star Sadie Summers has spoken out about a terrifying on-set accident that brought production on one of her explicit films to an abrupt halt. The 38-year-old performer, who began her career in the adult industry at just 19, recently made a comeback after a 15-year break.

Summers previously shared with MailOnline that her decision to return to adult entertainment came after working in aged care. During her time as a nurse, she witnessed many patients passing away with deep regrets—an experience that prompted a major shift in her own life perspective.

“Nearly 99 percent of people I cared for wished they had lived differently,” she revealed. “And I thought, ‘Why am I limiting myself to what society expects?’”

“I love sex work. I’m not ashamed of it. So why not try something that gives me more freedom and more time with my family?”

However, her return hasn’t been without challenges. Summers recently endured a painful on-set incident, describing the sensation as “burning and stinging like a bee.”

In an interview with AVN.com, Sadie Summers recounted a painful on-set accident that occurred during the filming of a scene where her male co-star was meant to unzip her outfit.

“I’ve filmed some intense scenes in my career, but I’ve never called ‘cut’ so fast,” Summers recalled. “Everyone winced at the same time. The guys instinctively grabbed themselves, and the production assistant looked away—she later told me she nearly threw up.”

The adult performer went on to describe the incident in graphic detail, making it clear just how serious—and painful—the moment was.

“He was directed to unzip my outfit in one smooth motion,” she recalled.

“But as the zipper passed near my intimate area, it caught both the labia minora and majora—and got stuck.”

“It felt like a bee had stung me—sharp, burning, and immediate. My ears were hot, I broke into a sweat.”

Thankfully, Summers’ nursing background proved invaluable in the moment.

“My instincts kicked in,” she said. “I asked for a mirror and some ice. I did a quick check for bleeding and, luckily, the skin wasn’t broken—but the zipper was definitely lodged. I was zipped up tight.”
