In recent months, rumors have circulated about a potential rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Questions surrounding the status of their personal and professional relationship were heightened after the couple made several public appearances alone.

Now, Markle has confirmed that the couple is ‘professionally separating.’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their roles as senior members of the royal family in 2020, relocating to California in search of a fresh start and new opportunities.

Though the couple has consistently presented a united front, they continue to be the subject of ongoing media speculation.

In December, Prince Harry made a solo appearance at the DealBook Summit in New York, where he was asked about the rumors sparked by their individual public engagements.

The 40-year-old quickly dismissed the gossip, saying, “Apparently, we’ve moved house or bought one about 10 or 12 times, and we’ve supposedly divorced just as many. It’s like, ‘what?’ It’s hard to keep up.”

Tabloids have followed Prince Harry and his family since his childhood—a point he acknowledged in a recent statement.

He pointed out that much of what’s reported in the media lacks factual basis and warned of the potential harm caused by such misleading coverage.

While Prince Harry has denied rumors of a split, it’s clear that both he and Meghan are currently focusing on their individual professional paths.

In a new interview with People, Meghan Markle opened up about some of the differences in their relationship as she steps back into the entrepreneurial spotlight.

Markle has announced her new lifestyle brand, As Ever, which appears to be a reworking of The Tig, a brand she was running when she met Prince Harry.

As her relationship with the prince grew, Markle shut down her first brand and social media due to royal family expectations.

Markle has revealed that getting back to the lifestyle market has impacted her relationship with Prince Harry: “My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.

“It’s almost like a honeymoon period again. It’s exactly how it was in the beginning when he’d watch me scribbling away, writing newsletters, fine-tuning edits, and just really being in the details of it.

“I think he loves watching as much as I love doing that creative process. It’s just been fun. This is who I’ve always been.”

Markle also spoke about their work as a couple within The Archwell Foundation, continuing: “I imagine that it’s the same as it would be for any couple. You have your individual jobs, but then you have things that you share together.

“We’ve been such a close team for so long that we’re just in it beat by beat with each other.

“And I love that. To be able to be a female founder and do that with my husband’s support means everything.”

Although the couple will still be involved in their foundation work together, they are enjoying the shift to their solo projects again.

Markle has released her gardening and cooking show with Netflix, titled With Love, Meghan.
