Twin brothers Alex “Flyysoulja” and Franky “Kodiyakredd” Venegas rose to fame in 2021 after a performance video of theirs went viral on X (formerly Twitter).
Riding the wave of their sudden internet stardom, the duo joined OFs and sparked even more controversy by releasing a video of themselves kissing.
Despite the backlash and widespread debate the video ignited online, Kodiyakredd has reportedly claimed that the provocative move brought in substantial revenue.

The brothers have openly admitted that their kiss was a calculated move designed to spark controversy, go viral, and boost their income.
Kodiyakredd has since expressed regret over the incident.
During a February appearance on The Wild Podcast, he shared, “I was in a very vulnerable state. I didn’t want to do the kissing thing. I didn’t want to admit that I only had $40,000 to my name.”
Despite this later remorse, Kodiyakredd had previously defended the kiss in 2023, claiming it wasn’t as shocking as people made it out to be.
“We’re twin brothers—we came out of the womb together, we grew up together. It’s not really disgusting if it’s twins,” he said. “We kind of just made out or whatever, we kissed and then we just like looked the other way for a few minutes and couldn’t like, look at each other, but it wasn’t that big of a deal—just a kiss.”
This disclosure about their financial motivations surfaces as Kodiyakredd continues to face ongoing legal troubles.

Kodiyakredd was recently arrested in Naples, Florida, on drug and firearm charges, according to a report by MailOnline.
The 23-year-old rapper, known for being one half of the Island Boys duo, was taken into custody by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office in February, as reported by TMZ. He faces charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of an altered firearm.
This isn’t Kodiyakredd’s first run-in with the law. Just nine months earlier, he allegedly tried to dodge a reckless driving charge by impersonating his twin brother, Flyysoulja. That incident took place in a Fort Lauderdale parking lot, where he was reportedly caught speeding in a yellow Corvette Stingray.
He was arrested at the time and later released on bond, facing multiple charges including reckless driving, driving without a valid license, and providing false identification.

In 2023, Kodiyakredd was also arrested for domestic battery for allegedly slapping his girlfriend and pushing her into a pool, causing injury to her chin.
However, this misdemeanor case was later dropped by prosecutors.
Additionally, his ex-girlfriend, Montaisha Shanell, accused him of domestic abuse in 2022, although no charges were filed in that instance either.
Further adding to the brothers’ history, in the same year, their residence was raided by a SWAT team in search of their childhood friend, Andrew James Thomas, who was wanted for first-degree murder with firearm charges related to a fatal drive-by shooting.
